Problem
How to configure SMTP authenication in Outlook Express 6?

Solution
  1. Open Outlook Express, and select TOOLS -> ACCOUNTS:




  2. Select the account you wish to configure under the Mail tab:




  3. Click the Server tab, select the checkbox My server requires authentication at the bottom, and press the Settings button:




  4. Ensure that the radio button Use same settings as my incoming server is selected. Then press OK, and OK once more. You're finished!
